Very Rev. Tait C. Schroeder is a native of Roxbury (Sauk City), Wisconsin. Ordained to the priesthood in 2002 for the Diocese of Madison, Fr. Schroeder has held various parish assignments as parochial vicar and pastor at parishes in Madison, Ridgeway, Barneveld, Ashton, and Martinsville. He served part-time as the Vicar for the Permanent Diaconate from 2006 through 2010, Advocate/Procurator for the Tribunal from 2007 through 2012, Judicial Vicar from 2013 to 2018, and as an Official at the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in Rome from 2018 through 2022. In 2023, he took on the role of Director of Implementation for the diocesan Into the Deep initiative and continues in this position today, along with serving as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia of the Diocese of Madison since July 2024. He also serves on the Presbyteral Council, College of Consultors, and Diocesan Finance Council.
