The Mazzuchelli Institute is a new initiative of the Diocese of Madison that was designed to form faithful Catholics in their baptismal call to be missionary disciples and has a threefold structure: Encounter Christ (theological & catechetical formation), Embody the Faith (spiritual and personal formation), and Equip for Mission (tools, skills and charisms). The goal of the Mazzuchelli Institute is to form individuals to be competent and confident as they discern and live out the call of a missionary disciple. 

The Mazzuchelli Institute includes two unique formation tracks:

1. The Missionary Discipleship Track is intended for the lay faithful throughout the Diocese. This track supports and equips leaders in parishes in their call to live out a personal apostolate in the world and in their local community. This would also serve as further formation for pastorate/parish Go Make Disciples Teams. The Missionary Discipleship Track is a 2-year cohort that meets monthly and includes coursework and retreat experiences. The application process includes a phone conversation, an application form, and a suitability form signed by your pastor. All of these items must be completed by August 20^th. Depending on the number of applicants, there may be a limit to the number of people received into the first cohort. Applicants who have been selected will be notified by e-mail by the end of August. Classes begin in September. 
2. The Mazzuchelli Institute: Getting Started for Parish Leaders Track is specifically for staff and leaders who are employed in a pastorate/parish. It too will encompass the threefold vision of Encounter, Embody, and Equip but will focus the “equipping” not just on the personal apostolate but also the skills and tools to be a parish employee and leader. It is a 1-year cohort aimed to serve individuals who work directly with parishioners for the mission of the parish. If you are a parish leader and would like to register, please click HERE.
