An Invitation from Bishop Hying
A special exhibit on the Shroud of Turin — venerated for centuries as the burial cloth of Jesus Christ and considered the most studied object in the world — is coming to the Diocese of Madison, hosted at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Middleton from Tuesday, May 26 through Tuesday, June 2.
Developed by Othonia, a team of Shroud specialists within the Institute of Science and Faith at the Pontifical University Regina Apostolorum in Rome, the exhibit presents what scientists, historians, and scholars have discovered about the Shroud – and extends an invitation to encounter. Othonia's hope is simple: that exploring the Shroud draws people closer to Jesus.
The Shroud challenges us to look with the eyes of both reason and faith. Come and see.
